Nominate and Recognize Laker Alumni
Laker Pride is a slogan that that has been embraced by the Mountain Lakes community for many years among students, teachers and residents alike. The fact that “Laker Pride” endures well beyond graduation from Mountain Lakes schools is just one of the many ways that set Mountain Lakes apart from the rest.
One exciting way that Mountain Lakes Alumni can continue to show their Laker Pride is by nominating a classmate, friend, or another alumnus for induction into the MLHS Hall of Fame.
The Mountain Lakes High School Alumni Hall of Fame was founded to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of alumni who have made significant contributions in their fields of expertise. Taking what they gained from their education and experience in our community, members of the Hall of Fame have had a positive and lasting impact on the world. The Hall of Fame supports and perpetuates our goals and values, and promotes pride in our “Tradition of Honest Excellence.” In addition, members of The Hall of Fame serve as examples to our current students of what they can aspire to be and achieve.
The Hall of Fame Weekend occurs during the Homecoming Weekend at MLHS and is a great time to celebrate alumni as well as reconnect with fellow Lakers. The MLHS Hall of Fame Ceremony occurs every two years with an induction ceremony at the high school followed by a reception in town.
During the Hall of Fame Weekend, members of the incoming class will spend time with classes at MLHS to share their stories and connect with students, teachers, and community members. Nominating someone who has embraced the characteristics of a Hall of Fame member is a great way to recognize fellow Lakers and connect them back to MLHS.
We hope that you if you know such an individual, that you will take a moment to formally nominate them for this honor. Spreading the word to your friends and family in the Mountain Lakes community would be just as appreciated.

We are excited to announce the 2018 Mountain Lakes High School Alumni Hall of Fame!
Since we inducted our first class of outstanding alumni in 2014, the Alumni Hall of Fame has proven to be a favorite new Laker tradition. Honorees share their personal histories, professional achievements and impart some wonderful life lessons to all of our students. Hall of Fame Day consists of small group meetings led by our inductees, a luncheon, an induction ceremony, and a reception. I am hopeful that you may know someone to nominate for this prestigious honor. The nominee must have graduated MLHS prior to 2003. Hall of Fame Day 2018 will be the Friday of Homecoming Weekend which is October 5-7, 2018.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, June 29, 2018.
A committee of school representatives will select Hall of Fame Members based on the following criteria:
• Educational achievements at Mountain Lakes High School and in higher education,
• Career achievements,
• Professional honors and awards, and
• Service to others and civic engagement.
